A little place by the water, built around good people and really good coffee.
Salt & Seam started with a simple frustration: there was nowhere near the water that took coffee seriously without taking itself too seriously. We wanted a counter you could lean on before a swim, a table you could hold for three hours with a laptop, and cups worth the walk from the sand.
So we found a corner two blocks from the shore, stripped it back to plaster and old wood, and built the café we kept wishing existed.
This is a surf-town crowd — early risers, dog walkers, remote workers, families back from the beach with sand still on their feet. Salt & Seam is where a lot of those mornings happen. Regulars get their order started before they reach the counter. Visitors get treated like regulars, too.
We source small-lot beans from growers we can name, roast in short batches, and dial in every drink by hand. No syrups from a bottle we can't pronounce, no shortcuts on milk. It's not complicated — it's just done with care, every single cup.
